All our equipment can take a 44,000 lbs payload. However,
depending upon the type of trailer used the weight can vary. For example in
our fleet, we do have a few 53 foot dry box that
can handle up to 47,000 lbs and flat beds up to 50,000 lbs. It would be
wise to mention the weight of the merchandise when placing your order.

What distance
can my shipment travel in one day?
The law allows a driver up to 10 hours of driving
a day which depending on the roads used equals approximately 500 to 600 miles
per day. If the destination of your order is within the 500 to 600 miles,
your order will be delivered the next day. For example: from Montreal,
Quebec to Dallas, Texas = 1,794 miles divided by 600 miles per day, your
order will take 3 days traveling time. But for a slight additional charge,
this traveling time can be reduced to almost half by using team drivers.

|
Like any well-organized company, we
like to have 24 hours’ notice. But if an emergency arises, Transport Rout-Am will do everything to pick up your order in the
best possible time, generally the same day in most cases.

|
Generally the paperwork required for
custom clearance is provided by the shipper and the forms are supplied by
the custom broker. However, you can download these forms directly from this
site, see section Forms. They are
easy to use and come with instructions on how to fill them. However
depending on the situation, yes we could complete the customs papers if you
provide us with all the necessary information.
